Since its founding in 1985, Queen of Peace Center (QOPC) has been providing family-centered behavioral healthcare for women, children, and families.

As a member of the Federation of Catholic Charities, we serve the metropolitan and surrounding St.

Louis area through four core programs:
prevention, education, treatment, and housing.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The QOPC Clinical Assessor is responsible for establishing rapport with new clients.

The assessor will assess new clients to determine eligibility, complete a psychosocial and other assessment tool, assign a diagnosis and enroll clients in the appropriate agency programs.

The Clinical Assessor is also responsible to conduct a warm hand-off to the assigned treatment team or outside referrals, if necessary.


CORE FUNCTIONS
The following job-related functions may not include all of the duties, knowledge or

abilities associated with this position:

  • Professional, trauma informed and efficient delivery of CSTAR diagnosis and intake
services according to approved policies and procedures

  • Admit clients to appropriate program and educate clients about programs and
treatment choices.

  • Administer a variety of screenings covering addiction, mental health, trauma and daily functioning.
  • Provide individual counseling, assessments, evaluations, referrals and assists
clients with establishing goals and other functional aspects related to the recovery
process

  • Maintain clients' charts, records and files regarding goals, evaluation and updates
in accordance with DMH and COA standards

  • Assist in communicating with outside agencies, such as detox/treatment centers, AA, Catholic Charities' agencies
  • Attend staff meetings and keep abreast of program and clients' status, facilitate
group meetings, supervision, case consultation and program components as
needed

  • Pursue continuing professional development, join appropriate professional groups,
and attend pertinent meetings

  • Supervise general guidelines and hygiene of self, staff, clients and of physical area
utilized by Agency

  • Responsible for meeting monthly billing expectations

backgrounds

  • Proficiency in Microsoft windows and Outlook
  • Creative and proactive problem solver
  • Superb oral and written communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology
  • Missouri PLPC, LPC, LMFT, LCSW preferred
  • Two years' experience in treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring
disorders

  • Must have documented experience with diagnosing
*Supervision Assistance or internal supervision is offered at a rate of $50 per week for PLPC candidates
