Exercise Physiologist PD

Department: Rush Cardiac RehabilitationUnder direct supervision and according to established policies and procedures , the Exercise Physiologist is responsible for performing physician ordered exercise and pharmacologic stress testing.Shall be clinically and technically competent to independently perform the stress test component for exercise stress testing in both Nuclear Medicine and Stress Echocardiography for the adult population.Performs Exercise programs for patients in the Cardiac Rehabilitation program, monitors patient's vitals in response to exercise and collaborates with RN/APN and physicians in Cardiac Rehab department.Performs cardiac diagnostic stress testing, which includes treadmill, pharmacological and nuclear stress test and resting ECG.Ability to assess level of patient care and any contraindications to performing diagnostic stress test.Proficient knowledge of cardiac rehabilitation telemetry monitoring, Scottcare system.Exercise Physiology or related field with experience in all aspects of exercise and pharmacological stress testing and cardiac rehab programs.
