Accountant I

Shift

We are seeking a self-motivated Accountant to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, performing month-end close duties including journal entries, account analysis, reconciliations, and projects as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post standard and non-standard journal entries monthly
  
  
• Analyze internal general ledger accounts
  
  
• Perform month-end-close activities
  
  
• Process and balance monthly some intercompany transactions and confirm with intercompany partners
  
  
• Perform some month end account reconciliations
  
  
• Maintain month end close checklists
  
  
• Support Internal and External audit as needed
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance, Master's Degree, a plus
  
  
• 1-5 Years Accounting experience
  
  
• In-office assignment
  
  
• Intermediate Excel and any ERP software skills
  
  
• Experience with JD Edwards, preferred
  
  
• Experience with month-end-close a plus, journal entries and analysis
  
  
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  
  
• Highly analytical, organized, and detailed
  
  
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting processes
