The Opportunity

The PEAK Program Coordinator is the perfect opportunity to enter an impactful position and build a long-term career with the bovine genetic leader, PEAK Genetics. This PEAK Program Coordinator position is built for a passionate individual that is a self-starter with a strong "Gets It Done" attitude who enjoys working with a team. This role is key for supporting the PEAK Genetics team, including but not limited to: creating reports, recording dairy and beef related data in Access databases, facilitate movements of animals and embryos, and being able to adapt to changes of processes as they occur. Success in this role will center around excellent communication among the PEAK Support team, within the PEAK team, and externally with PEAK clients.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and run reports using Microsoft Access, Excel and PowerBI
  • Create new processes and find effiencies with current processes
  • Record data regarding, but not limited to, flushes, embryos, donors and calves
  • Facilitate recording of the PEAK Beef program data and running reports
  • Registration and transfer of animals with the breed associations
  • Submission of DNA to labs in order to get genetic evaluations
  • Assist the Peak team with various projects

Organization Alignment & Position Location

  • Preferred location Shawano, WI
    • Based on prior experience, Madison, WI or Watertown, WI can be accommodated
  • Position reports to Director of PEAK Genetics Support

Candidate Profile

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong dairy/beef cattle background is considered an asset

Skills & Competencies

  • Highly skilled at using Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Microsoft PowerBI experience is a plus
  • Accuracy and strong attention to details
  • Self-motivated to perform daily duties and improve processes
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a team environment

Education

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science, Dairy Science, or related discipline
  • 3 years related experience could be substituted for education
