Job Title: AP Specialist
Job Description

Process vendor invoices, including matching to purchase orders, verifying payment authorization, assigning budgetary accounts, entering data into the SAP computer system, and generating payments. Maintain all files associated with accounts payable, and prepare reports and statistical information as directed. Protect the company's assets by following proper three-way match procedures (PO, Receipt, and Invoice). Process invoices, expense reports, and other charges for assigned locations. Verify payment authorization and appropriate signatures on invoices, and generate checks, attach invoices, mail payments, and file company records. Maintain vendor relationships by responding promptly and appropriately to issues, and resolve invoice issues by coordinating with purchasing or directly with suppliers. Respond to calls regarding payable issues, investigate, and resolve them in a timely manner. Contribute to audit readiness by maintaining accessible documentation and accurate records. Maintain selected data systems, including supplier data information. Enter invoice information into software programs, assigning to proper budgetary account numbers and vendor accounts. Prepare regular, periodic, and special accounting reports as defined or requested. Operate within core values of respect and care for others.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Union City, California.

Work Environment

Onsite as a temporary position, mainly to handle the backlog of past due invoices. Part of a 3-person team if converted.
