We're looking for an experienced Protocol Engineer to help develop a sovereign blockchain with Cosmos SDK. The right person for this role is obsessed with system design, performance, security, and decentralization. This person loves working in a fast-paced environment with a small team, enjoys working on cutting-edge technology, and is demonstrably interested in or experienced in developing blockchains.

RoleBuild, maintain, and own chain and smart contract development alongside the founders of Convexity Labs for the core project - Plaza, the first L1 blockchain for programmable derivativesDevelop efficient mechanisms for cross-ecosystem value transfer and accounting alongside the Founders of Convexity LabsCreate and lead the new, dedicated blockchain team at Convexity Labs from scratch and help define its toolchain, culture, processes, and normsMentor more junior engineers and help them level-upCollaborate with the founders of Convexity Labs to make strategic product and go-to-market decisions
Qualifications

Required

2+ years developing production code in Golang, Rust, and/or SolidityExperience designing and building mission-critical systems from scratch, deploying them to production, and maintaining themDeep understanding of standards & tooling around blockchain development, including automated building, testing, and deploymentDemonstrated ability to educate and train more junior engineersProfessional or native English language proficiencyInterest in DeFi, blockchains, or cryptocurrencyBonusExperience with Cosmos SDK and chain/module developmentExperience developing smart contracts in Rust and/or SolidityUp to date on technical developments across the Ethereum, Solana, and Cosmos ecosystemsDemonstrated contributions to open-source projectsExposure to popular frontend frameworks (React, Typescript, etc.) to help out with frontend development in a pitch
