Job Description


We need registered nurses to manage various responsibilities while delivering safe, competent, and compassionate care to diverse patient populations in settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers.


More specifically, RNs who can:

Basic Job Requirements

Active, unencumbered RN license from the state in which you plan to work
Minimum 1-year experience of RN work experience in acute
Push, pull, support, and lift a minimum of 80 pounds
Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing and walking
Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support )
Annual physical
Negative TB test results
COVID-19 Vaccination*Job Responsibilities

As a ShiftMed registered nurse, you'll be responsible for but not limited to:

Ongoing patient assessment and observation to ensure optimum health levels.
Administering and recording medications per facility policy and procedures.
Transcribing and implementing written, verbal, and electronic physician orders.
Delegating appropriate tasks to nurse aides and ensuring proper care delivery.
Supervising clinical operations for nursing and clinical care activities.
Performing assessment data collection in an ongoing, systemic manner.
Reviewing and evaluating data collected by other healthcare professionals.
Developing care plans that prescribe nursing actions to achieve patient goals.
Identifying patient/family learning needs and implementing appropriate processes.
Demonstrating effective written and verbal communication.
Collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Ongoing flexibility regarding patient assignments, floating, and related staffing issues.
Promoting a positive work environment and demonstrating a positive attitude.

*Hourly pay rates may differ based on the location of ShiftMed healthcare facility partners. All advertised rates reflect the wages ShiftMed partner facilities are currently offering. Hourly rates fluctuate throughout the week depending on the facility you schedule shifts with.

*ShiftMed adheres to CMS and local Department of Health guidance on COVID-19 vaccinations. Healthcare professionals must be up to date on all recommended COVID-19 vaccinations, including a booster dose when required. Healthcare professionals not up to date on COVID-19 vaccination doses may be required to undergo weekly testing and comply with mask mandates at ShiftMed client facilities.
