Job Description:

The University of Miami is seeking a Per Diem faculty member for the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology. Candidates must have an MD/DO, be board certified/eligible in Pediatrics and Pulmonology, and licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida. The position is at the assistant professor level of the clinical educator track.

The Pediatric Pulmonology Division sees patients at various locations and is involved in clinical trials and research in the fields of asthma.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated clinical and scholarly expertise
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently
Qualifications:
  • Valid Medical Degree
  • Board certified/eligible in Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Pulmonology
  • Valid and unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
  • Excellent clinical knowledge and experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet responsibilities of the position
Working Environment:
  • Must be able to physically respond when on-call
  • Hospital maintains safety and infection control programs
