Lead Patternmaker

As the Lead Patternmaker, you will manage all aspects of Pattern Design related functions from development to production ready.

You will be joining an extremely fast-paced team of creative, passionate and energetic individuals working towards significant expansion into various apparel categories, with the swim & active being the central core of the business.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter who is passionate about fashion and fit and understands the brand aesthetic and price point of our brands.

Education Requirements:
Minimum AA in Fashion Design/Pattern Making or related field
10+ years of experience as a Patternmaker
Proficiency in Gerber (certification required), MS Office Applications, Adobe Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop), and PLM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead pattern creation (1st through production) in collaboration with the Product Development team
Develop and maintain Core Block Library
Create and update detailed pattern cards that can be seamlessly integrated into costing and production tech packs
Support Director of Tech in managing Pattern Makers and Sewing Room (workload planning, productivity and workflow management)
Facilitate sample making process (proto, fit, presentation, etc.)
Responsible for preparing production ready patterns and sew by sample hand offs to factories
Attend fittings and collaborate with Technical Design to implement pattern updates
Support Technical Design in reviewing, amending & approving factories' patterns & grade
Identify & alert Product Development team of potential fit & construction issues that arise in sewing room that can affect production quality
Occasional travel may be required (domestic and international)

Qualifications:
Experience in swim and activewear product categories
Sleep/Loungewear experience a plus
Strong knowledge and eye for fit, garment construction, finishing and overall aesthetics along with understanding grading for multiple products & size categories
Critical thinking & problem solving required
Excellent communication skills - verbal, written
Salary Range $100-$120 DOE . Base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate's related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location
