ABOUT THE POSITION:

Embark on a transformative journey with Dr. Ivan Ovcharenko's research team at the Computational Biology Branch, Intramural Research Program, National Library of Medicine, nestled within the vibrant National Institutes of Health (NIH) campus in Bethesda, Maryland. We're seeking a talented individual to fill a postdoctoral position starting June 2024. Our mission is to decode the intricacies of gene regulation through advanced computational analyses, with a keen focus on epigenetic and sequence-based mechanisms. At the forefront of innovation, we pioneer computational approaches to predict disease-causal regulatory mutations and decipher their mechanisms of action.

As part of our dynamic team, you'll harness cutting-edge AI models and engage in comprehensive experimental enhancer characterization to unveil tissue-specific regulatory signals and precisely gauge the impact of mutations on regulatory element activity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

We're in search of a highly motivated individual with a doctoral degree in Computational Biology, Machine Learning, Population Genetics, or related fields, boasting less than five years of postdoctoral experience.
