\t\tGeneral Purpose and Scope of Position: \r
\t\r
\t\tWilbur-Ellis is seeking an Agriculture Field Scout to be responsible for pest trap placement and monitoring/recording pest activity of various crops and pests. The Field Scout works closely with the field sales and the operations support team. This is a seasonal position.\r
\t\r
\t\t \r
\t\r

\t\tKey Skills and Abilities Include:
\r

\t\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tCollege student majoring in Agriculture, Plant Science, or Horticulture\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tKnowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tIntermediate level proficiency with standard software including MS Office Suite\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tAbility to safely operate a company vehicle within state laws and company policies and guidelines\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tRequires excellent interpersonal skills between both customers and fellow employees\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tAbility to repetitively bend, kneel and walk long distances while working in a non-climate controlled environment and outside in inclement weather \r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tExcellent math skills and the ability to maintain accurate counts\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tDependability/reliability. Occasionally may need to work Saturdays.\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tGood interpersonal skills\r

\t\t\tWillingness and desire to work overtime hours during busy seasons \r

\t\tSpecific Responsibilities and

Key Deliverables Include:
\r
\t\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tPrepare traps for placement in the field\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tInstall traps in fields. Inspect and monitor weekly.\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tMaintain data counts of the number of pests trapped\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tUse GPS technology to map fields\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tComply with company safety standards\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tTake soil samples as needed or directed by sales\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tScout crops for economic pests and report to the appropriate Sales Representative \r
\t\r
\t\r
\t\t \r
\t\r

\t\tCompensation and Benefits:

\t\t\tIn compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $ $22 per hour. Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience. \r
