JOB SUMMARY:

Join our diverse Food and Beverage team at Horseshoe Bay Resort, which boasts over ten unique outlets, including the latest addition, Cap Rock Cabana. This venue provides poolside, bar, and grill services to members and guests at Cap Rock Golf Course facilities. We are looking for friendly and attentive Servers to deliver exceptional service in line with our high standards of quality, presentation, and sanitation. Showcase genuine hospitality and positivity in your interactions with guests and colleagues, and take pride in maintaining top-notch service levels.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Engage with guests daily using excellent communication and hospitality skills
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings with colleagues and management
  • Ensure proper table and station setup, take orders, and serve food and beverages promptly
  • Maintain food and equipment hygiene and storage standards
  • Complete daily shift reports and relay special guest requests to the kitchen
  • Detail tables and menus before each meal period
  • Assist with table bussing and be familiar with BEO forms
  • Demonstrate knowledge of food, wine, and cocktail menus
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and warm hospitality
  • Adhere to work schedules and assignments

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum age requirement – 18+
  • Hold a Food Handler's Certificate and TABC Certificate
  • Encouraged to undergo OSHA Hazard Communication Standard training

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior serving experience, preferably in a resort environment, is beneficial
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency in English language required; knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Adherence to grooming and uniform standards
  • Physical strength and agility to fulfill duties in an outdoor setting

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must be able to communicate effectively in English, demonstrate initiative, maintain professionalism, interact well with guests, assist co-workers, and work as part of a team. Should be capable of prolonged standing and walking, and able to lift at least 30 lbs.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Customer Satisfaction: Positive guest interactions form the foundation of a great guest experience. Always exhibit professionalism and courtesy towards guests and associates.

Work Habits: Uphold hotel standards for work procedures, grooming, punctuality, and attendance. Be adaptable, willing to learn, and able to solve routine job-related issues.

Safety & Security: Prioritize the safety of guests and team members by following hotel safety protocols and promptly reporting hazards.
