Provide support and coordination for the functions of the Chair which includes faculty related searches, and faculty appointment, promotion and tenure cases.
Coordinate faculty sabbatical paperwork, annual teaching plans, faculty annual reports and external activity reports, and the annual faculty merit review process.
Plan, schedule and coordinate departmental meetings and events.
Handle departmental communications, including website maintenance and alumni development andoutreach.
Provide maintenance of departmental records and confidential documents and assists with other tasks as requested by the Chair.
Manage all office functions to ensure smooth operation of the Biology administrative office.
Supervise Staff Coordinator who handles all 'front of house' issues and student employees.

Required Skills
B.A./B.S.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Three to five years of experience
Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends for special events
