• GS-09/11: Performs duties with the assistance of the aircraft commander. Assists in the operation of aircraft in order to gain the experience needed to become a qualified pilot in unit type aircraft.
• GS-09/11: Participates in discussions, meetings or serves on panels or committees regarding unit aircraft and flying mission.
• GS-12: Instructor presents academic course content such as fundamentals of flight, Air Force doctrine, security procedures, mishap prevention, air discipline and judgement.
• GS-13: Develops and distributes information on changes and advances in flying safety.
• GS-14: Directs all operations and training programs for the organization.
