Job Summary and QualificationsOur Imaging Teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues. We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our team. As our new Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. You will perform these procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. We prioritize patient care. Your tasks and responsibilities may include:
- You will use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
- You will prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians orders. You may administer and record dosages as well.
- Performs diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film.
- You will position patients and adjust immobilization devices.
- You will compassionately explains procedures to patients and addresses concerns.
- You will monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation.
- You may assist with transporting patients.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- High School Graduate / GED
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist, or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)
