Turba Operator

Job Summary:

Monitor overall cheese making process to maintain high quality and productivity standards. Proficient in all phases (process and CIP of equipment), including, but not limited to the job duties listed below.

Maintain a safe work environment and meet all established quality standards.

Shift: 4:45pm - 5:15am

pay Rate: $25.86

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Initiate startup, shutdown, CIP and operation of Turbo Film
• Perform readings, maintain logs & perform solids testing of Turbo Film operation & CIP
• Monitor and break fermenters
• Sanitation of fermenters and fermenter room.
• Assist in completion of Master Sanitation Schedule items & other cleaning as needed.
• Perform equipment / building maintenance as required.
• Provide break relief for other associates as needed (i.e. UF, Pan, AM Barrels)
• Ensure good communication between shifts.
• Complete Catalyst transactions as necessary.
• Fully participate in and support the following programs: Safety, LQMS, BRC, LPS and LMS.
• Follow all sanitation and quality SOP's to ensure all equipment is clean and ready for production.
• LEAN Manufacturing – Contribute to a continuous improvement environment by participating in activities to include line side problem solving.
• Participate in 5S program to contribute to a safe and organized work environment.
• Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all department paperwork
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP guidelines and LQMS requirements
• Actively contribute to a behavioral based safety culture by completing a minimum of one behavioral observation (BOS) per month.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of machine operations and overall production process
• Support Barrel Closer with staging supplies & forklift transfer and stacking of barrels in cooler.
• Other duties as assigned by Shift Lead or Production Manager

​Experience:

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Prior high speed, high tech manufacturing experience

• Maintain prompt and regular job attendance
• Ability to read and write effectively in English
