AR Specialist

Description:

Large & local family-owned distribution company is looking for an AR Specialist to join their team This position will require commuting fully on-site to start, with a potential for hybrid remote flexibility in the future

Accounts Receivable Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment collections, and cash application

• Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments and resolve any payment discrepancies

• Record customer payments in the company's accounting system

• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies

• Documented communication with Dealers, sales team members, and other departments as necessary to resolve payment issues

• Ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory standards

• Monthly AR account related reconciliations

• Assist in maintaining AR Module procedures, develop and refine processes to increase efficiency

• Uphold internal credit policy

Reporting

• Prepare and distribute customer statements and monthly aging reports

• Develop reports and reconciliation process to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely

• Reconciliation report explaining variance of AR sub-ledger to GL

• Provide supporting analysis and ad-hoc reporting as requested

General Responsibilities

• Maintaining a close working relationship with operations managers, accounting team, and senior leadership

• Assist with Accounts Receivable Policies and related internal controls

• Flexibility to execute, adapt, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment at a high growth company

• Assist with system implementation

• Work on special projects when assigned by management

• General Office filing and other duties as assigned by Manager

• Assisting on audited document preparation

• Following SOP and work with limited supervision

• Send Builder Billing Packages Weekly

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience within Accounts Receivable

• Strong verbal and written communication skills required

• Intermediate Excel required (pivot tables/vlookups)

• Experience with NetSuite preferred, otherwise, experience using ERPs required

• Bachelor's degree required
