This position is responsible for planning, analyzing, and reporting business transactions. Preparation of federal and state income tax returns, along with researching and drafting federal or state tax notice responses.QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA required, Master's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of tax experience with a large public accounting firm with a focus on consolidated corporate tax groups and partnership tax.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, and research skills required; along with demonstrated ability to manage staff, clients and projects
  • Advanced level of skill with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros, and formulas)
  • Experience in identifying and researching tax issues using RIA, BNA, or other tax research software
  • ​Experience with Thomsonreuters OneSource or GoSystem tax compliance software, or similar
  • Workday financial system experience or experience with Alteryx a plus
  • Familiarity with international corporate tax and tax-exempt organizations a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication, and tax technical research skills required
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Prepare or manage various federal and state tax compliance projects, including tax returns, estimated payments and any supporting schedules.
  • Manage or assist on-going international compliance and related research.
  • Prepare or manage communication to all IRS and state DORs audits, notices, and questions.
  • Support and assist in tax planning for all current and future entities to minimize tax and tax exposures.
  • Prepare or manage transfer pricing initiatives.
  • Develop and encourage staff to pursue new tasks and challenges related to overall departmental goals and objectives.
