The primary purpose of this position is: To perform as a senior information technology (IT) specialist in system analysis and applications software design and implementation. Perform studies to determine requirements for developing entirely new or making substantial modifications to existing applications software; and the analysis of information systems.

1. Analyzes complex processes and/or a variety of problems, questions, or conditions relative to the design and/or selection of management information systems and applications software technology.
2. Develops and maintains required programs to support the needs of the user.
3. Performs required testing, troubleshoots, and corrects system and applications software discrepancies.
4. Participates in discussions, meetings, committees or special projects and presents briefings and prepares recommendations and reports.
