The Data Management group sits within the Chief Technology Office as part of Global Technology at JPMorgan Chase, and operates firmwide, liaising with different lines of business to deliver innovative data management products, services and value add solutions. Job responsibilities

  • Solves the companies most challenging cloud problems by building cloud data solutions
  • Develops first class automation operating models to ensure stability, sustainability, and velocity during development
  • Implements acceptance test to ensure the product meets the business goals and specifications
  • Creates efficient integration between on-premises enterprise systems and cloud data provider services
  • Work with customers to provide in-depth technology solution to their business problems
  • Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
  • Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
  • Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages; Java, Python, or Go
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade cloud solutions in Cloud ecosystems such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud out
  • Building Data Lake using AWS, and Hand-on experience in AWS Glue, AWS KMS. AWS Firehose, EMR, Athena, Redshift, Quick Sight and Lake Formation
  • Knowledge in federated query engine such as Starburst and Trino
  • Knowledge in Snowflake Database Architecture and Administration
  • Experience in ETL pipelines using SnowSQL and Snowpipe
  • Experience or knowledge in Spark leveraging Python or Scala with Snowflake
  • Experience in Hashicorp Terraform
  • Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
  • Exposure to cloud technologies
  • Exposure to RESTful API development
  • Experience or knowledge in Kubernetes
  • Hand-on technical experience with:Web Scalability - High availability architecture - load balancing, scale out
  • Knowledge working with PCI and sensitive data workloads
  • Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
