This position works Tues-Fri 5:30 am -3:30 pm

Job purpose

Our Paint Line -Parts Handlers are an integral part of the American Products team. They are responsible for ensuring our parts are handled correctly coming off the powder paint line.

A Parts Handler will be assigned to a part of the line, but may switch stations in the assembly process at manager or supervisor designation or request.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Hangs parts as they come off the line.
  • Inspects painted units for runs, sags, or unpainted areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education
  • High school diploma or GED strongly preferred
Specialized Knowledge and Experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, shop floor documentation, customer specifications/diagrams, instructions provided by supervisors/managers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Understanding of powder painting, including related equipment, ovens, conveyor systems, and washing equipment. (Preferred but not required)

  • Requires the interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with wide variety of internal personnel.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
  • Must be able to interact professionally, appropriately, and courteously with customers, co-workers and other outside parties.
