Auditor (Performance)

This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer.

As an Auditor (Performance), you will coordinate, implement, and/or oversee internal control and audit related activities that impact USCIS. Provide professional assistance and support to the USCIS Director and CFO as well as DHS OCFO in a variety of matters relating to the application of internal control requirements.

• Plans, leads, and monitors the execution of OMB Circular No. A-123 reviews to ensure the proper design and effectiveness of internal controls, reliability of financial reporting, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Applies technical expertise in planning and conducting efficient and effective risk-based assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of USCIS's internal controls in accordance with the applicable laws, regulations, standards, and DHS guidance.
• Serves as a technical expert on special projects involving a wide variety of internal control programs.
• Represents USCIS at meetings and liaise with stakeholders within USCIS as well as in other federal agencies.
• Leads the development of directives, standard operating procedures, and/or other related guidance associated with internal control over operations, financial or financially related systems.
