Position Overview:
Responsible for greeting patients and completing the Check-in/Check-out process. Balancing the cash drawer at the end of the day and providing accurate reports is part of the position. May be responsible for appointment scheduling and message taking and for creating cases for Workers' Compensation, triaging patients to the nursing staff depending on patient acuity, maintain statistics for the department and physicians in the department, creating new patient accounts, communicate work status, complete department mailings and reports. Assists with staffing and day to day operations consisting for multiple departments.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (subject to change)

EDUCATION:
HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
4 years of recent experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Familiarity with basic management fundamentals.
Knowledge of office workflow and processes.
A knowledge of problem solving techniques.
Knowledge of computer systems and their software applications is essential for this position.
Knowledge of proper cash handling practices and internal control processes/procedure.
Verbal and written communication skills in the English language are required.
Ability to communicate professionally, calmly and effectively with all internal and external customers in a medical office environment.
Ability to deal effectively with challenging customer service interactions.
Ability to motivate and train adults.
Ability to complete multiple projects and manage shifting priorities with frequent interruptions.
Ability to keep both patient and business information confidential.
Math skills must be sufficient to appropriately handle cash and complete department deposits.
Organizational and prioritization skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize work, manage time and workflow to meet deadlines.
Ability to pay attention to detail.

Pay Range is $31.51 to $39.39 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
