Carhop or Skating Carhop

Being a Carhop (also known as a super cool food server) is a bit like being an astronaut, except you're working in a drive-in restaurant, not outer space, and the food is way tastier.

Join us and be responsible for serving and delivering food safely and efficiently, ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience at SONIC Drive-In restaurants.

• Ensuring all restaurant menu items meet operational standards
• Greeting guests warmly with a smile
• Providing quick and accurate change to guests
• Carrying and balancing trays weighing up to 25 pounds
• Serving guests promptly
• Clearing trays from guests' vehicles
• Skating Carhop servers, if applicable, bring a unique element to the guest experience and must complete the SONIC Skating Training Program
• When completed, Skating Carhops perform the same duties while roller skating

• Requirements for Carhop/Skating Carhop servers:
• Availability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Flexibility to adapt to different situations as needed
• Effective communication, basic math, and reading skills
• Compliance with appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards at SONIC
• Skating Carhop server requirements:
• Successful completion of the SONIC Skating Training Program
• Proficiency in roller skating and maintaining balance while delivering food
• Ability to stand, balance, carry a tray, and skate simultaneously
• General understanding of the restaurant or retail industry, preferred but not mandatory

• Willingness to cross-train in all stations for a dynamic work environment
• Team player mindset focused on cleanliness and safety
