UW Health is excited to announce an Audiology externship placement for the academic year.

This externship opportunity will offer experience working in a variety of areas of audiology including a full range of diagnostic services and treatment of hearing loss, including:
hearing evaluations, hearing aids, and ENT clinic coverage. Our team collaborates daily with our neuro-otologists and otolaryngology providers, allowing for evidence-based comprehensive treatment plans for our patients.

Option for 40 hour week to be spread across a 4 or 5 day work week.

Qualifying applicants will be enrolled in an AuD program, highly-motivated, independent self-starters, who are interested in providing high-quality care to our adult patients.

Previous clinical practicum experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.

Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship: Comfort with hearing evaluations & hearing aids (technology, problem solving, fitting, dispensing), highly-motivated, eager to learn, professionalism.

Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:

Extern will gain experience and refine clinical skills in all areas of audiological assessments and treatment that is provided at the site.

By the end of the externship, the student will have gained confidence and independence in audiological skills.
