RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Miami, FL that is seeking an IT Shipboard Data Analyst.Responsibilities:
  • Work with the product manager to understand customer expectations, requirements and business values for data needs
  • Responsible for the gathering, analysis, and interpretation of data
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
  • Analyze data and provide requirements to the development team for the creation of new datasets in accordance with business requirements
  • Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts; lead feedback sessions with stakeholders
  • Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and development team
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements
  • Organizing and performing user acceptance testing
Provide information and recommendations to leadership on both regular and ad-hoc basis
  • Uses data visualization programs, tools and techniques to generate dashboards, reports and presentations that aid in data storytelling, understanding and interpretation of trends and patterns of business importance

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or any related discipline
  • 5+ years of work experience as a data analyst in Software Engineering / Information Technology or related area
  • Proven ability to lead, facilitate, coach, mentor and communicate effectively in both an interpersonal and/or group setting
  • Experience with JIRA, Excel and SQL
  • Experience with BI Tools, such as Power BI or Tableau preferred
  • Familiar with relational database concepts and client-server concepts
  • Extensive knowledge and experience engaging and empathizing with the customer, putting their wants and needs at the heart of all products; ability to leverage information to create customized guest solutions
  • Able to lead and collaborate with persons at all levels of responsibility in the Information Technology and Corporate organizations to formulate, communicate and implement data strategies
  • Demonstrates ability to coordinate the analysis and problem solving of data issues with many individuals which results in consensus on solutions
  • Effective communicator; Your writing and speaking skills are clear, articulate, and effective, demonstrating your ability to interact with and be understood by all levels and various teams across the organization
  • Problem Solver; You are a creative thinker, with a solid understanding of agile practices, patterns and techniques and other software development methodologies
  • Systemic Perspective; You have knowledge of the interconnected set of elements for your product ecosystem, and you create innovation that achieves the desired goal or overall objectives of the whole
  • Collaborator and Business Liaison; You are united with teammates and follow through on commitments, so you are known as a trusted business partner and someone your teammates can count on

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.

This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
