Job Description

Responsible for preparing vehicles for refinishing and reassembly, supporting Paint Technicians as necessary.

Main Responsibilities

  • Complete all paint preparation processes following factory specifications and written repair orders
  • Assist in pre-op by preparing spray-out panels, sanding, and buffing for quality paint finish
  • Participate in morning board meetings, problem-solving to ensure on-time delivery
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and hazardous waste disposal requirements
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work space according to vendor procedures
  • Utilize tools to complete quality work, review estimates, and verify repairs
  • Clean, wax, polish, and refurbish vehicles to Caliber standards
  • Ensure completion of all paint operations and reassembly before returning vehicles
  • Follow Caliber safety rules and perform other related duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 years old with HS diploma or GED. Auto Body Vo-Tech certificate preferred
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Position involves physical activities such as kneeling, bending, squatting, lifting, and repetitive hand/arm motions. Must be able to push/pull objects and wear protective equipment due to exposure to fumes, chemicals, and noise.
