About the Position: Serves as a Guidance Counselor for the Continuing Education System, U.S. Army Garrison, Presidio of Monterey, with responsibility of providing the full range of general education and career development counseling to both military and civilian personnel in the Army Continuing Education System (ACES).

• Counsel individuals to help them develop and achieve their education objectives including credentialing/licensure, a valid military career goal and subsequent civilian occupation.
• Schedule, analyze, and interpret test results as required in subsequent counseling sessions to assist individuals in making a realistic self-appraisal of their needs and desires.
• Conduct periodic group counseling sessions to explain the scope of the education program, its benefits, tuition assistance availability, and eligibility requirements.
• Assist in marketing the center's services to the community.
• Provide assistance to personnel applying for scholarships, educational allowances, and grants.
