Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop go to market strategies for our transportation and supply chain solutions.
  • Manage a T&E budget that improves client relationships while maintaining company discipline.
  • Lead the development of key relationships among current and potential customers.
  • Develop and implement strategies for growth and margin improvement.
  • Recruit, hire and train sales staff with skill sets capable of meeting company growth and margin goals.
  • Research, identify and contact potential new customers and close new business.
  • Work with customers to understand their needs and challenges and then present solutions to meet those needs and challenges.
  • Continually conduct followup to solidify relationships and grow volume and margin with current customers.
  • Prepare and present value proposals, supply chain solutions and pricing to potential and current customers.
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with major or significant coursework in business, supply chain, transportation or communications
  • Resultsoriented leader with at least 8 years of sales and/or account management experience in a supply chain/transportation environment
  • Experience selling to large ($1B +) companies on their supply chain needs
  • Proven ability to develop and nurture senior level relationships through oral and written communication.
  • Solid understanding of sales and marketing combined with the ability to leverage successful projects into new contracts and develop creative solutions to clients' issues
  • Deadline oriented – ability to organize workload around key deliverable deadlines – such as those dictated by RFPs, client commitments or internal commitments
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability and maturity to quickly establish credibility and respect with a broad range of diverse business partners, both internally and externally, in a manner that consistently produces results
  • Ability to travel and spend time at customer facilities for customer sales calls, program site visits, and project implementation as necessary
  • Proficient in all Microsoft products used in development of presentation and reports
