Firearms Instructor

We have been a pillar of the firearms community around Chicago since 1953 and we consider it our mission to grow, broaden, and expand OUR community.Being a firearms instructor is not just about teaching people how to shoot, although that is the primary role.As a firearms instructor you will start with private instruction and, if possible, work towards teaching group classes.The main reason people come to us is to use our indoor shooting range, so a big part of private instruction is helping students find the right firearms and accessories that will work best for them.Serve as Range Safety Officer (RSO) at times and ensure safety on the range by observing all users and respectfully, but immediately, stopping any actions that violate Maxon Shooter's Supplies Range Safety Rules & Procedures.Follow proper protocols for checking customers in to and out of the shooting range.Report to the Training Coordinator, and attend quarterly meetings.Must possess a concealed carry permit and an Instructor Certification from either the NRA or USCCA or equivalent.
