  Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  
  The Senior Accountant at American Gilsonite Company (AGC) holds a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the organization's financial health. Guided by AGC's core values of personal responsibility, clear communication, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, the Senior Accountant plays a critical role in AGC's financial integrity and growth. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  
  
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses that provide insights into AGC's financial performance.
  
• General Ledger Management: Participate in month end close, maintain the general ledger, record financial transactions accurately and timely and reconcile accounts regularly.
  
• Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards, promoting financial accuracy and integrity.
  
• Budget Monitoring: Assist in budgeting and variance analysis, providing insights into financial performance against targets.
  
• Audit Support: Prepare documentation and support for all audits, liaising with auditors and ensuring a smooth audit process.
  
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.
  
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data, provide insights, and support decision-making.
