We are looking for experienced Quality Assurance Specialists for our manufacturing and distribution client in Durham, NC. The Quality Assurance Specialist will be overseeing a team of quality assurance associates to identify coaching opportunities, implement process improvements, and facilitate proper protocol to ensure smooth operation of the QA department. The Quality Assurance Specialist will need to demonstrate great leadership and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Conducts talent assessments to identify the skill gaps that exist among our current employees working within the QA function.
- Facilitates training sessions through applying various training methods which includes one-on-one coaching, workshops, job shadowing, and mentoring.
- Measures and evaluates training and facilitation methods to ensure effectiveness of the material being presented to employees.
- Ensures all employees within the QA function have a proper understanding and are trained in their assignments.
- Conducts period audits to assess progress related to skills and knowledge of the employees working in the QA function.
- During audit inspections, documents and directly communicates any errors or performance gaps discovered immediately.
- Facilitates and or helps with onboarding new temporary QA staff employed through the temporary agencies.
- Partners and collaborates with other team members to suggest new practices in training and facilitation methods.
- Observes established safe working and housekeeping procedures; promptly corrects hazardous situations.
- Follows all company policies, security protocols & procedures, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and ISO requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
- May be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.

Working hours: 7:45 PM - 6:15 AM

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read or understand information related to work activities.
- Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations - addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
- Push, pull, lift or carry up to as much as 60 pounds occasionally, and up to 25 pounds frequently.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time in accordance with the required schedule shift.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Effective proficiency in using the intranet, email, Excel, Word, and management information systems (MIS).
- Effective people, customer service, interpersonal, detailed oriented, organizational, problem-solving, planning and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
