Haddonfield Friends School, a private, Quaker coeducational day school in Haddonfield, NJ, is seeking a part-time or full-time dynamic, "do it yourself-er," self-starter, joyful, and committed person to join their small, but mighty administration team, as the Development Coordinator.

Under the direction of the Head of School, the Development Coordinator is charged with the planning, oversight, and execution of all aspects of fundraising, event planning, communication, and alumni and donor engagement.

The Development Coordinator is expected to accomplish the overall mission and vision of Haddonfield Friends School, as guided by the Quaker S.P.I.C.E.S of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Establish an intentional, formalized development plan that is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Haddonfield Friends School.
  • Develop and execute implementation of all fundraising initiatives and programs coinciding with the Traditions and Transformations campaign, which includes the New Jersey Historical Trust, Annual Giving, and Endowment.
  • Guide marketing and communication, building on Haddonfield Friend School's community recognition.
  • Support the Head of School by identifying, building, and strengthening relationships with donors.
  • Engage and inspire the school community and Haddonfield community through social media, purposeful events, and face-to-face networking.
  • Manage the school's Bloomerang donor database.
  • Prepare and distribute engagement and acknowledgement collateral and follow-up with donors who pledged contributions.
  • Attend regular meetings with the administration team, teachers, and school community to actively listen and share development updates. Qualifications:
    • Degree in Public Relations, Business, Communication, English, or other related field
    • Experience in non-profit development, fund-raising, or independent schools
    • Knowledge of, and an appreciation for, independent education and the broader Haddonfield/South Jersey community
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Experience with donor software Bloomerang
    • Solution-oriented thinker
    • Positive, joyful, confident, humble, and optimistic
