Johnstown, Pennsylvania, United States Housekeeper Full time
Job Posting:
Nice to meet you My name is Erin. I'm looking to employ a regular housekeeper for our AirBnB rental property in Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania. My goal is to hire a wonderful, disciplined person who has regular availability. The amount of cleaning days needed depends on bookings and lengths that guests stay (they could stay 1-30 days), so flexibility is needed. Check-out is at 11am and check in is at 3pm (could be altered if more time is needed.

Here is how I picture a typical cleaning:

Change the bed sheets in the 3 upstairs bedrooms (and potentially sofa bed downstairs) and wash the used sheets and towels. This will be the limiting rate probably since it takes time to wash these, so get this going first. Comforters should just go in the dryer on a high temperature to refresh and kill germs.

Vacuum the whole house. If there is pet fur, please make sure you vacuum the sofas and furniture too.

I will have cleaning supplies there to use because I prefer to use natural fragrance-free cleaners because I have sensitivities and want to accommodate guests who also have chemical sensitivities.

Clean the kitchen. I have asked guests to wash and put away all their dishes, but if they don't do it, you would have to do that part too. Clean stove, sink, counters, etc.

Mop hard floors in kitchen, bathroom, and back enclosed porch.

Clean bathroom, tub, toilet, upstairs and in the basement.

Look around for any fingerprints on glass (usually from kids), or pet marks on the outside of the glass door and clean those as well.

Make sure all mirrors are clean (in bathroom and on the dresser).

You'll have to dust surfaces probably every 2-weeks or so.

Wipe down high-touch surfaces - e.g. doorknobs, light switches, refrigerator handles.

Take out the trash and recycling.

This is basically a hotel, so we really want to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
