$18-$21/hr (Based on Experience) $2 Shift Differential for 2nd shift

HOURS:
6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 50 per week 1st Shift / 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM 2nd shift

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR Sheet Metal Welders:
Provides wirefeed SHEET METAL structural welding for a service mechanical contractor and custom-built HVAC equipment manufacturer.

SKILL FOR SHEET METAL WELDERS:
Experience welding structural steel members using (TIG) wirefeed processes
Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements
Understand and follow proper safety instructions
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to read blueprints Specific Physical Skills
Ability to pass a 3f and 4f weld test using GMAW process on 3/8" material
Other duties may be added as needed by supervision

PREFERRED SKILLS FOR SHEET METAL WELDERS: 3+ years of experience in TIG Sheet Metal Welding
Proficient in blue print reading and welding symbols
Knowledge and experience completing welds that pass visual before being X-rayed or bend tested
Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SHEET METAL WELDERS:
Must have at least 3 years of welding experience
Must pass background check and drug screening
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs when necessary
Ability to step over and work on top of fixture that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary
Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces
