RESPONSIBILITIES
A Client Services Specialist/Technical Writer will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and growing client relationships by assuring the quality and accuracy of client deliverables in a professional, expeditious and cost-effective manner.

  • Draft, review and edit documents to ensure technical soundness, scientific accuracy, readability, grammar and spelling, consistency, and formatting, as well as adherence to industry and company standards and best practices, and any applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Organize and coordinate assigned client account work in a timely and profitable manner.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Sales and other affiliated stakeholders to ensure that clients experience superior service.
  • Provide technical consulting services to clients directly and/or through coordination with internal technical team.
  • Follow up on inquiry calls and emails; respond to specific client inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Provide support to in-house employees as required (project-related, general writing/editing, etc.).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procedures, client requirements, and technical subject matter and utilize that knowledge to provide superior service.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus at least two years of directly related experience in environmental compliance reporting or similar.

  • Expert knowledge of Word plus working knowledge of Excel, Internet, and e-mail (Outlook).
  • Demonstrates written, oral and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of in-house staff and clients.
  • Must be comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
  • Must be comfortable working independently and within a team.
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness and strong critical thinking skills.

The salary range for this role is $55,000 to $65,000 and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position. All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation. The target for this position is 5% of the base salary offered. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level. We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
