The Position

The Early Product Asset Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the successful commercialization of early-stage pharmaceutical products. This role focuses on championing alignment across functions, collaborating closely with the clinical team, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), shaping lifecycle strategies, and establishing early commercialization strategies to maximize product potential. This role helps facilitate pull-through and continuity of knowledge from clinical development and early strategy phases to commercialization efforts to brand teams when the launch planning process starts It is essential to maximize asset value, drive early brand and GTM strategies. This role serves as a commercial point of contact for global commercial asset team prior to the start of the launch planning process, supporting early asset and early commercialization strategies and early market development activities.

Relationships

Reports to the Early Product Asset Owner. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical, R&D, regulatory affairs, finance, NNI Global, Market Access (MAPA) and other relevant NNI departments to support development of early commercial strategies strategy. Steers pipeline working groups and early 'One Impact' Planning process and provides regular updates to the therapy areas. This role facilitates the successful pull-through of clinical insights, patient profiles, and strategic considerations into commercialization efforts as we start the launch process. This role may also serve as a liaison with global teams.

Essential Functions

Early 'One Impact' Planning: Work with Asset Owner to foster early strategic alignment across cross-functional teams including marketing, market access, and medical teams and to ensure a cohesive approach to early product commercialization. Collaborate with global commercial teams and ensure input to the 'One Impact Process' across other key NNI stakeholdersEarly Commercialization Strategy: Contribute to early commercialization strategy development to maximize asset value and market penetration, leveraging global products and insights, insights from clinical trials, and market research. Collaborate with marketing, market access, and medical affairs teams to develop early brand positioning, priority customer segments, messaging, and go-to-market strategies and input into evidence generation plans before the product is transitioned to the launch teamMarket Assessment and Opportunity Analysis: Assist completion of thorough market assessments and opportunity analyses to identify target patient populations, unmet needs, and competitive positioning strategiesTarget Product Profile (TPP) Development Support: Provide support for clinical trial strategy, regulatory development, and the development of Target Product Profiles (TPPs) to ensure alignment with commercialization goals. Gather input from clinical and regulatory teams to understand clinical data / patient outcomes, identify market opportunities, address regulatory requirements, and help to shape product development strategiesRegulatory Compliance: Ensure early commercialization strategies comply with regulatory guidelines and industry standards, working closely with regulatory affairs teams to address any compliance-related issuesCommercialization Transition: Support facilitation of the smooth transition of products from clinical development into commercialization at the time the launch planning process begins. Ensure continuity of market research and therapy area knowledge, decision processes, and early strategy from early development phases to commercialization efforts, maintaining alignment with overarching brand strategiesKnowledge Transfer and Pull-Through: Assist in facilitating knowledge transfer between early commercial and marketing brand/therapy area teams, ensuring key insights, learnings, and strategic considerations are effectively communicated and incorporated into commercialization plans. Work with cross-functional teams to pull through clinical insights, patient profiles, and early competitive positioning strategies into launch commercialization efforts to maximize product potentialProject Management and Coordination Support: Assist project management efforts to coordinate transition between clinical development and commercialization teams, ensuring milestones are met. Identify and flag potential risks or challenges during the transition process, proactively addressing issues to minimize disruptions and ensure continuity of product development effortsContinuous Improvement and Optimization: Aid continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the product transition process, implementing best practices, tools, and methodologies to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency Physical Requirements Approximately 20-30% overnight travel.
