As a Family Physician with our FQHC, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our diverse patient population.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver care appropriate for an outpatient, primary care FQHC with a multicultural, multilingual patient population.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Prescribe medication in accordance with the Pennsylvania statue and professional practice guidelines.
- Provide quality care to patients according to clinical medical protocols and funding source guidelines.
- Promotes health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
- Instruct patients and family regarding medications, treatment instructions, and provide patient education.
- Triage patient telephone calls and provide consultation.
- Perform thorough evaluations and assessments of patients presenting with general health and sports-related concerns.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of each patient, incorporating evidence-based practices and the latest advancements in primary care.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, and other specialists, to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and diagnostic test results, in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Stay informed about advancements in primary care and family medicine research, technology, and treatment modalities through ongoing continuing education and professional development activities.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Family Medicine.
- Completion of a Family Medicine residency program.
- Current state medical license.
- DEA registration.
- Excellent clinical skills and diagnostic acumen.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound and other point-of-care diagnostic techniques.
- Dedication to promoting health and wellness in the community.
- Experience in electronic health records.
