The Sugar Land Space Cowboys are looking for bat boys and bat girls to join the team for the upcoming season. This role involves working part-time under the guidance of the Clubhouse Manager. Responsibilities include retrieving bats and baseballs during games, assisting with pre-game setups, and post-game clean-ups. The position is based in Sugar Land, TX.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working under the supervision of the Clubhouse Manager
  • Presenting a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Retrieving bats and baseballs from the playing field
  • Providing excellent service to umpires, coaches, and players
  • Performing any other assigned duties

Qualifications

Requirements for the role:

  • Minimum age of 16
  • Preferably familiar with baseball and the bat boy/girl role
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and professionalism
  • Positive attitude and reliability
  • Capability to meet job requirements and work schedules

Work Environment

The job involves working in clubhouses and on the field. Expect extended hours in various weather conditions. Majority of workdays will be spent in the stadium, with moderate to loud noise levels.

Physical Demands

Physical requirements include the ability to talk or hear, jog, bend down, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Position Type and Expected Hours to Work

This role is part-time and seasonal, with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Travel

No travel is involved in this position.
