Summary

You will serve as Assistant to the Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) Director in the OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEPARTMENT of SUPSHIP GULF COAST.



Duties
  • You will determine the direction of the Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) office and will be held accountable for the effective
    implementation and conduct of all ESH Programs.
  • You will review new or revised policy directives or program materials of higher headquarters or regulatory agencies, determining applicability
    and scope of impact on ESH programs.
  • You will provide administrative and technical supervision to Safety and Occupational Health Specialists, Environmental Protection Specialists
    and assigned enlisted personnel.
  • You will coordinate ESH programs with local Navy activities to ensure that private shipyard contractors working on home-ported vessels are in
    full compliance with laws, regulation and standards applicable to each specific facility.
