We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and optimize production.

What You'll Do Here
- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Read, write and edit programs in G-Code and other CAD/CAM Software based on engineering drawings and specifications
- Create and modify programs to improve efficiency, accuracy, and production rates.
- Set up and operate CNC or manual machines (e.g., mills, lathes, grinders) to produce parts within tolerances.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Perform machine adjustments, tool changes, and calibration as necessary.
- Make appropriate offsets and or speed and feed adjustments to program if necessary to maintain part quality
- Inspect and measure finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Identify and address any deviations from quality standards.
- Diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions and tooling issues.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Stay updated with the latest CNC machining technologies and industry trends.
- Provide training and guidance to junior machinists and operators as needed.
What You Bring To The Team
- 5+ years of experience in the industry and with Machinery.
- Interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Set up and operate CNC or manual machines (e.g., mills, lathes, grinders) to produce parts within tolerances.
- Programming knowledge and ability required
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance
- Knowledge of tooling and inserts including wear characteristics
- Experience using calipers, files, gauges, micrometers, cutting tools, etc
- Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes, raw materials, and quality control
- Knowledge of waterjet functions and operations
- Tooling knowledge to Inspect and measure finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Experienced in CAD and CAM software as well as basic Microsoft office programs
