Remote, Oregon, United States Portfolio T Full time

Some people dream about our future world. You'll help build it.

There are plenty of jobs out there. Countless roles, positions, and careers, all competing for your time, energy, and investment. But how often are you offered a chance to reboot the entire planet? Portfolio T is creating a venture studio for a dynamic global tech and digital company currently operating in stealth mode. Together we'll build a pipeline and portfolio of ventures and investments that will nurture the environment; create new ways of living in community and harmony; provide pride, place, purpose to its inhabitants; and develop technologies across a broad array of sectors to empower humankind.

To tackle this expansive mission, you'll collaborate with a team of dreamers and doers from around the world, leveraging our proven methodology and extensive network. Depending on your expertise, you may be creating new ventures, determining promising startups to invest in, hosting events and venture competitions, or building and managing the engine that will drive our client's vision.

If it sounds too good to be true, it's not. If it sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, it is. And if it sounds like something you need to be part of — keep reading.

Who We Are

Portfolio T is building a venture studio unlike any you've experienced before. The Venture Studio works on disruptive, sustainable solutions that touch every aspect of life — energy and water, education, health, food, nature, renewable energy, tourism, media, financial services, mobility, and more. The Studio is also helping to create the world's first ecosystem of cognitive technologies, including unrivalled connectivity, computing capability, AI, and robotics that will enhance lives and protect our planet.

What Sets Us Apart

We work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a start-up vibe. We're good at what we do and we like doing it; we're driven by our mission and supported by a network of smart, friendly, execution-focused pros. We're an inclusive team with an entrepreneurial mindset. If we fall, we learn — and use that knowledge to leap even further.

How We Work

We attract people who thrive in ambiguity and are always looking for new, innovative ways to tackle old problems. People who are unafraid of navigating a fast-paced environment and can make sense of incoming information quickly, while maintaining strong working relationships and continuing to drive progress forward. More than anything, we attract people who are forward-thinking and values-driven in their work, people who are consciously dedicated to improving our world with sustainable solutions.

Who We Need

Our client is an $80B funded company that is developing a new venture called Pyxos. Pyxos has been designed to revolutionize how businesses approach privacy compliance by streamlining and automating compliance with intricate privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA. Their AI-driven platform acts as an "AI Compliance Officer," interpreting and applying complex regulations to enable businesses to innovate freely with their data without risk.

Two fundamental truths will shape the next several decades of technology and human interactions:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) will change all consumption & creation
  • There will be new medium & fabric for every interaction

But the adoption of AI won't scale without the safe, free flow of data and the key to unlocking this is to create automated compliance for businesses while protecting privacy for people. That's why we created Pyxos, the first data and compliance operating system that allows enterprises to treat consumer data transparently.

We're a seasoned team of operators with decades of experience in data, privacy, and scaled systems, including executive roles at Meta, Cisco, and Microsoft. We're passionate about protecting consumer rights and frustrated that it's not happening today.

We are looking for a Cryptography Engineer who is passionate about security, cryptography, and software development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java/C++/Go programming and a deep understanding of cryptographic principles and algorithms. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining secure Java enterprise platform, implementing cryptographic protocols, and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data.

What You'll Deliver

  • Design and implement secure Java applications incorporating cryptographic algorithms and protocols
  • Develop and optimize cryptographic libraries and APIs for use in Java based systems
  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve security and cryptography-related issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the secure integration of cryptographic components
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and cryptography trends, ensuring our solutions remain robust against evolving threats
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices for cryptographic implementation to the development team
  • Conduct code reviews and security audits of Java applications
  • Participate in the research and evaluation of new cryptography technologies and tools
