Description

The IT Specialist will function in a Help desk & Sys Admin capacity. This is a hands-on role contributing to the development and operations of the company's IT networks, hardware, security systems, software tools, platforms, and processes. As a top priority, this role ensures that processes and systems support both the internal needs and requirements of the Business Operations and Engineering teams as well as the needs and requirements of customers and business partners.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide helpdesk support for internal and remote users, tracking requests and troubleshooting issues, providing timely resolution and quality communication
  • Support meeting room AV needs
  • Track IT inventory, ordering, and deployment of hardware and software
  • Provide administration, operations, and maintenance for core IT systems, including networks, servers, desktops & laptops, productivity applications, and cloud infrastructure
  • Engage and collaborate with business leaders to identify key IT needs and develop project timelines based on priorities and resources
  • Ensure the efficiency, stability, security, and accessibility of all supported IT applications and infrastructure
  • Support the implementation, and enforcement of IT policies
  • Review system logs, research and escalate concerns and issues

Skills/Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in IT roles demonstrating regular technical and professional development
  • BS/BA in related field of study a plus
  • 5-7 years of experience in a helpdesk &/or sys admin capacity
  • Practical understanding of modern computing technology, systems and network architecture, data management, information security, and cloud-based services
  • Experience troubleshooting PC, Mac, Android, and iOS devices
  • Technical expertise administrating desktop operating systems (Windows, OSX, Linux)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server
  • Hands on expertise in implementing strategies in the areas of IT Security and Processes
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals: VPN, firewalls, routing, and switching
  • Ability to handle and track multiple priorities proactively and effectively, and exercise good business judgement
  • Demonstrated flexibility, able to quickly adjust to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation, follow through, and communication skills
  • Highly collaborative and customer service oriented
  • Programming skills in a high-level language a plus
  • Advanced network administration and troubleshooting skills a plus
  • Flexibility for occasional travel and ability to relocate computer equipment as required
