College of Sciences Dean's Office:

The College of Sciences is the largest college at UCF and represents a wide range of disciplines. From sea turtles to sociology, chemistry to calculus, we're training the next generation of researchers and industry leaders. The Dean's Office is the central hub for this pursuit and provides organization and strategy behind UCF's mission of becoming the world's leading public metropolitan research university and a top 50 public research university in the nation.

The Opportunity:

The Marketing Communications Specialist II assists with the creative direction, concept and design execution for creative content that supports and enhances the college's goals and objectives. They are equally comfortable designing email headers and event promotional materials as editing short social media videos.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with team members to develop creative concepts and design directions for marketing materials, campaigns, and projects.
  • Oversees multiple creative projects from inception through completion to ensure a high level of creative quality and consistency through approval of design.
  • Pitches new ideas to visually tell the College of Sciences story and fresh approaches to promote repeating and regular events.
  • Produces a wide range of graphic design products, including event promotional materials, digital signage, email graphics and publications.
  • Plans, films, and edits video content for College of Sciences social media channels.
  • Creates timelines and is responsible for life span of projects, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Confirms clients are satisfied with the results and troubleshoots any issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education experience
  • Project management experience
