Your Responsibilities:

Join Epic as a talented Lead Concept Artist and contribute to shaping the future of LEGO Fortnite.

In this role, you will collaborate with development teams to craft memorable environments, iconic structures and creatures, as well as unique characters and minifigs bursting with personality and flair.

Your expertise in color, composition, shape, and visual design will play a key role in defining our distinctive visual style.

Your mastery in character and environment design will be the driving force behind redefining the Fortnite experience for our players.

In this position, your duties will include:
  • Working closely with Art Directors and the core team to envision a wide range of content within the LEGO Fortnite universe
  • Guiding, mentoring, and overseeing a team of Concept Artists and external vendors
  • Providing prompt and detailed feedback to the concept art team and external vendors
  • Coordinating with other art, design, and production teams to achieve product objectives
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a Lead Concept Artist on at least one AAA game
  • Strong passion for and understanding of the visual styles unique to LEGO and Fortnite
  • Over 7 years in AAA game development
  • Diverse portfolio showcasing various styles, creativity, and skill
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities to coordinate with internal and external teams for visual excellence
  • Exceptional organizational skills with accurate task estimation and schedule management
  • Proficient in communication and understanding of art disciplines like animation, character design, environment design, VFX, etc.
  • Exceptional traditional artistic skills encompassing composition, anatomy, color theory, lighting, perspective, environment design, character design, and more
  • Experience collaborating with Intellectual Property (IP) partners is a bonus
This position is available in various North American locations (excluding CA, NY, & WA).
