Tampa, Florida, United States Insurance Placement Solutions Full time

Insurance Placement Solutions has an immediate opening for a Remote Construction Defect Claims Adjuster with our client. As a member of our client's claims team, utilize your knowledge of construction defect to independently investigate, evaluate, and resolve assigned claims in order to achieve appropriate outcomes. In this position, you will administer and resolve claims in a timely manner in accordance with legal statutes, policy provisions, and company guidelines.

Construction Defect Claims Adjuster Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and confirm coverage. Obtain necessary information and explain benefits as appropriate. Maintain regular contact throughout the life of the claim process.
  • Verify facts of loss and pertinent claims facts such as employment, wages, or damages and establish disability with treating physicians as appropriate.
  • Communicate with parties and providers to determine liability, compensability, negligence, and subrogation potential.
  • Develop and direct a litigation plan with defense attorney (if assigned), utilizing all defenses and tools to bring the file to closure. Ensure all filings and state mandated forms are completed timely.
  • Ability to attend conferences, client meetings, mentor other adjusters, and assist

    management as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with state statutes, client guidelines, and client's best practices.
  • Address claim metrics in a timely and appropriate manner.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience handling construction defect claims as a claims adjuster
  • 10+ years of experience handling litigated claim files

Licensing

  • Must have an active Florida adjuster license

Education

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
