About the Role

As an Ambassador of the Employee's Charter and Magna's Fair Enterprise culture, the Hotline Investigator responds to employee questions and investigates employee relations issues in all Magna Divisions in Canada, the United States and South America. This role may involve occasional travel to Divisions, the ability to travel internationally, gathering facts, and interviewing employees and/or management.

Your Responsibilities
  • Investigate and address employee complaints and concerns, determine the outcome of the concern/case, and report findings to the Hotline Team and Senior HR Leadership.
  • Ensure timely resolution and provide regular follow-up to employees and management throughout the investigation process.
  • Consult Corporate Subject Matter Experts and Legal Counsel when necessary.
  • Provide training, resources, and support for the global HR Team and conduct training sessions on the Hotline Program as requested.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when dealing with employees and management.
  • Perform daily data entry and maintenance of the Hotline database, prepare statistical reports, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement to Magna Groups and Divisions.
Who we are looking for
  • 5-8 years of HR experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing, with knowledge of Magna's HR policies and culture.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including notetaking and report writing.
  • Strong ethical values and judgment, negotiation and problem-solving abilities, and experience in investigative techniques.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities, work independently with little supervision, and collaborate with a global team.
  • Ability to navigate effectively among Stakeholders at various levels and appreciate the importance of positive employee relations.
  • Ability to complete a Criminal Records Check and, if deemed necessary, a Credit Check as part of the candidate selection process.
Your preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline
