Trenton, New Jersey, United States Capital Health Full time

Capital Health System (CHS) has historically served a large population of patients in need of liver transplantation. In the past, CHS has been successfully collaborating with multiple transplant centers, including but not limited to Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia; Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia; and Virtua Transplant Program in South New Jersey. In addition to that, in recent years, CHS has developed a state of the art Liver Center of Excellence: this is a multidisciplinary group offering liver resection of any kind, liver directed therapy, systemic chemotherapy and immunotherapy, Cyberknife treatments, supportive services, nutritional consultation, and access to research/clinical trials. CHS is seeking a Hepatologist that will streamline coordination of care and minimize the amount of travel required by patients in the community served by Capital Health by maximizing the usage of the services offered by CHS Liver Center of Excellence in coordination with the transplant program that best fit the individual patient needs.

The Hepatologist will be supported by CHS and work on updating the existing protocols in collaboration with the Medical Director of the Cancer Center at CHS. It is expected that a liver tumor board will be developed at CHS.
