JOB SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, provides installation, maintenance, and highly skilled technical and marketing and social media support for Department.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Communication / Marketing or Computer Science/ IT or related field of study with two years' experience in a computer and/or electronic, social, technical environment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: N/A ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support all aspects of collaboration with social media and IT within the Department and Service Line
- Maintain computer hardware and AV equipment within the department as well as social media platforms in collaboration with Marketing, Communication and Creative Teams.
- Repair computers when appropriate together with IT as well as maintain departmental twitter, Facebook and website and other platforms.
- Act as liaison between end-user and computer service center when outside computer repairs are necessary; supply end-user with interim equipment while computer is being repaired.
- Develop and maintain databases for asset management and hardware repairs.
- Maintain knowledge of operating systems, software program products, and networking to ensure stable and efficient production platforms.
- Set up and operate AV equipment in academic settings and requested venues.
- Develop technical standards to minimize hardware and software maintenance.
- Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: In-depth knowledge and experience with end-user computers (desktop computers, laptop computers, personal digital assistants, etc.) and marketing and social media. Demonstrated verbal and analytical skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to work in a team environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Clean, well-lit, comfortable office environment with remote potential. Low to moderate noise Subject to many interruptions and pressure due to deadlines. Occasionally subject to irregular hours. Works with confidential information.
