Our County Dental Clinic is seeking a compassionate and dedicated dentist to serve our diverse patient base in our tri-state region of Northwest Kansas. A nonprofit clinic, our vision is operating a self-sustaining state of the art dental clinic that serves all people from all backgrounds as we strive to improve the overall health of our community.

This position reports to CEO/management.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide the highest quality dental careBe culturally and socially sensitive to communicate effectively with ethnically and economically diverse patient-and-employee baseReflect a positive role model in all areas and be mission orientedDevelop strategies to gain new patients while retaining patients of recordOversee dental assistants and mentor/train DDS students on clinical rotations

Qualifications

DDS or DMD degree from accredited dental schoolLicensed to practice in Kansas and meet other applicable state requirementsCompletion of dental residency program preferred but not required

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but willing to negotiate working hours to meet full time requirements. For H1B visa employees, have to work at least 35 hours a week to meet requirements.

We are nonprofit dental clinic serving 18 counties in Northwest Kansas. A self-sustaining state-of-the-art dental clinic, we provide care to all patients, including insured, underinsured, uninsured and Medicaid participants. Our mission is to increase access to quality and affordable oral health care for all residents of Northwest Kansas and our tri-state region (Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado), regardless of an individual's ability to pay. Our community is nestled in the heart of the picturesque Beaver Valley of Northwest Kansas. It is surrounded by the natural beauty of golden wheat fields and lush green ranches. Atwood boasts a friendly atmosphere, excellent educational system, and hard work ethic from which the city was born in 1875. Our local airport and golf course are acknowledged as the region's best, and the community hosts pheasant hunters from across the nation each autumn. Deer, quail, and wild turkey also delight the native outdoorsmen as well as visitors. The community offers a vibrant downtown area that includes several eating establishments, grocery store, dry goods, pharmacy, electronics, movie theatre, bowling alley, museum, and hardware store. There is also a 9-hole golf course, country club, parks, swimming pool, and nine churches in our community. We are truly the Pride of the Prairie.
